Leading Change with IGC: A New Chapter for Ghana

When I accepted the appointment as Country Chair for Ishkama Global Change (IGC) in Ghana, I didn’t just say yes to a title — I said yes to responsibility.

One of our first initiatives was a cross-sector conversation on women in leadership, where I met Abigail, a 24-year-old startup founder who was scaling her fintech app in spite of crippling self-doubt. We sat for an hour after the session, and she said, “I didn’t think I belonged in these rooms until today.” That, to me, is the essence of IGC — giving people a seat at tables they were born to build.

IGC allows us to create high-impact policies, drive collaborative innovation, and unlock economic potential. But more than that, it lets us restore dignity, especially to the ones who have never been seen.

“Change isn’t loud. Sometimes, it starts with a whisper in a boardroom… and ends in a nationwide ripple.”
